Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Software Engineer III to design and develop scalable Java and JavaScript applications within the Identity & Access Management platform. You will help operate a high-availability identity service on AWS ECS/EKS, implement code with CI/CD pipelines, and participate in AI-assisted development workflows.

The role emphasizes collaboration in Agile settings, complex data models, and modern identity provider integrations such as Keycloak or Auth0.

Qualifications

• Experience with identity providers and OIDC client setup.
• Ability to design and review moderately complex software components.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with teammates to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of specifications.
• Translate requirements into software designs and implement code.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and perform code reviews.
• Work across Agile or other development environments and fix bugs.
