Elsevier is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and develop scalable authentication and authorisation solutions. You will work on an identity platform running on AWS ECS/EKS, integrating with multiple identity providers, and supporting global product suites.

You will contribute across the software life cycle, mentor peers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into robust software, operating in agile or hybrid environments in Greater London and beyond.

Qualifikationen

• Proficient in Agile or Waterfall development processes.
• Experience with data manipulation and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of relational data modelling concepts.
• Understanding of multiple data storage subsystems.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with stakeholders to finalize requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
• Complete and verify bug fixes in a timely manner.
• Lead CI/CD and deployment practices across environments.
• Define and implement logging, instrumentation, and alerting for operations.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
