Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Software Engineer III to design and develop scalable Java and JavaScript solutions within the Identity & Access Management team. You will work on authentication infrastructure, integration with identity providers, and downstream APIs on AWS.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with data manipulation languages and data modelling principles.
• Ability to work with complex data models.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, Node.js, React, XML, SQL.
• Experience with identity providers (Keycloak/Auth0) and OIDC client setup.
• Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates to finalize requirements and design components.
• Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex systems.
• Translate product requirements into software designs and code.
• Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Work in Agile environments and contribute to GitHub PR workflows.
