Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Software Engineer III (Java & JavaScript) to design, develop, and scale high-performance applications within the Identity & Access Management team. You will contribute to an identity platform integrated with providers and downstream APIs on AWS, working in an Agile environment with a focus on code quality and AI-assisted development tools.

The role requires strong skills in Java, JavaScript, CI/CD, and experience with identity providers such as Keycloak or Auth0.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with data manipulation and modelling principles.
• Ability to work with complex data models.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, Node.js, React, XML, SQL.
• Experience with identity providers and OIDC client setups.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to translate requirements into software designs.
• Write and review detailed specifications for moderate complexity components.
• Implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows; participate in agile processes.
