Job summary
NPAworldwide is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Technical Lead for a live Central Government project. You will stay hands-on while guiding teams and shaping technical solutions within an Agile environment.
The role covers design, development and deployment of cloud-based solutions on AWS, full-stack work with Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript, plus CI/CD pipelines and security-focused delivery. Hybrid working and strong salary package offered.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial Java development experience.
- Experience designing and building solutions in AWS.
- Full-stack development using JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
- Experience leading engineers or providing technical direction.
- Understanding of software architecture and technical design.
- Experience working through the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Ability to translate customer challenges into practical technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of software engineers.
- Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions.
- Provide technical direction and communicate with clients.
- Produce solution architectures and technical designs.
- Build full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript.
- Design and deploy cloud-based solutions on AWS.
- Create CI pipelines using GitLab and other tools.
- Work across the full lifecycle from requirements to delivery and maintenance.
- Deploy software into public and private cloud environments.
- Promote high standards of software quality, security, and engineering practice.
