NPAworldwide is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead to stay hands-on while guiding teams and shaping technical solutions on a live Central Government project. You will work in an Agile team, building bespoke software that tackles complex operational challenges.

You will lead engineers, design architectures, and deliver full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript, with AWS cloud deployment and GitLab CI pipelines.

Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead who enjoys remaining hands‑on while guiding teams and shaping technical solutions?

A leading specialist technical consultancy is looking for a Software Technical Lead to join a live Central Government project. You will work within a collaborative Agile team, building bespoke software that solves complex operational challenges.

What youll be doing

• Leading and supporting a team of software engineers
• Designing, developing and testing bespoke software solutions
• Providing technical direction and communicating clearly with clients
• Producing solution architectures and technical designs
• Building full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript
• Designing and deploying cloud-based solutions, primarily using AWS
• Creating continuous integration pipelines using tools such as GitLab
• Working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to delivery, support and maintenance
• Deploying software into public and private cloud environments
• Promoting high standards of software quality, security and engineering practice

What were looking for
