Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Java Kafka Engineer to design and deliver scalable, secure backend services for high-impact financial services applications. You will work with Product Owners, Architects, and Platform teams to implement resilient architectures, event-driven patterns, and robust RESTful APIs in a hybrid work model.

The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and AI-enabled practices while navigating complex enterprise environments and regulated financial services contexts.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale backend applications.
• Strong Java/J2EE development, OO design, and enterprise app architecture.
• Proven experience designing RESTful services and microservices-based solutions.
• Experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
