Job summary

Grid Dynamics seeks an experienced Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering critical technology solutions within a global investment banking environment. You will build secure, scalable production-grade applications using modern Java technologies, including Java 8/11/17+ and Spring Boot, and work across backend services and APIs.

Responsibilities include designing scalable systems, integrating RESTful APIs, working with Kafka, and maintaining high security and quality

Qualifications

• Proven commercial Java development experience.
• Strong Spring/Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging tech.
• Solid SQL and relational DB skills.
• Hands-on with TDD and automated testing.
• Good understanding of secure software development practices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Java applications with Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Utilize Kafka for high-volume distributed systems.
• Develop against Oracle and SQL databases for performance and reliability.
• Write clean, production-ready code with automated tests.
• Apply security testing and remediation in the SDLC.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in Agile teams.
• Address production issues and drive reliability efforts.
