Job summary

Planet Recruitment seeks a Senior IT Technician to support an educational environment in Witney for a five-month contract. The role focuses on day-to-day IT support and acting as an escalation point for a junior engineer in a small team.

You will work in a customer-facing setting with strong communication skills, handling Windows enterprise environments, AD, M365, VPN, and network infrastructure tasks. This contract requires hands-on experience at the 2nd/3rd line level and the ability to create

Qualifications

• Desktop support experience in an education or similar environment.
• Windows enterprise environments experience.
• Active Directory administration experience.
• Microsoft 365 support experience.
• VPN troubleshooting experience.
• Group / server management exposure.
• Network infrastructure analysis experience.
• Creation of information packs for network infrastructure, servers, inventories and wireless configuration.
• Experience configuring network switches (HPE/Aruba).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support in an educational environment.
• Act as escalation point for junior engineer (2nd/3rd line).

Role: Senior IT Technician (Education)

Location: Witney

Salary: £170PD - £200PD PAYE

Profile

My client is looking for a Senior IT Technician to support them over the next 5 months with day to day support within an educational environment.

Working within a small team you will be an escaltion point to the junior engineer and will need to have experience of working at a 2nd/3rd line level.

You will need to have strong communication skills and be comfortable working in a customer facing environment.
