Job summary

Ground Control in Billericay is seeking a Senior Service Desk Analyst to join the IT team on a hybrid basis. You will provide advanced technical support, act as an escalation point for colleagues and help drive service improvements across Microsoft 365, endpoints and security.

This role suits a proactive troubleshooter with strong Microsoft experience, excellent communication, and a passion for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving across Microsoft technologies, hardware, software and end-user support.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 apps and services.
• Experience with user account administration and identity management (Entra ID).
• Exposure to endpoint management tools like Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Knowledge of security, VPNs and remote access technologies.
• ITIL or ITSM knowledge would be beneficial.
• Microsoft, CompTIA or ITIL certifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex technical issues, delivering effective resolutions with high customer service.
• Act as escalation point for Technical Support Analysts, guiding and sharing knowledge.
• Support the administration and development of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID).
• Assist with endpoint technologies, including Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Investigate recurring issues, identify root causes and drive improvements in service delivery.
• Support user access, device compliance, MFA and security-related processes.
• Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver a positive support experience.
• Assist with process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort.
