Job summary

OFG Education's Hydesville Tower School seeks an IT Site Engineer to provide hands-on 2nd line support for hardware, software, and cloud services at the site. You will own incidents and service requests, ensuring a reliable, high-quality IT service for staff and students.

Working closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure and Applications teams, you will troubleshoot issues, mentor junior engineers and contribute to IT projects and technology rollouts.

Qualifications

• Experience in 2nd or 3rd line IT support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows server environments and desktops.
• Experience managing Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD and Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of networking, LAN/WAN, Cisco Meraki, and network troubleshooting.
• Driver's licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 2nd line support for hardware, software, network and infrastructure issues.
• Acting as the main IT contact for your assigned site, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Managing incidents and service requests through to resolution, escalating where required.
• Supporting and mentoring 1st and 2nd line engineers as a senior point of escalation.
• Administering user accounts, permissions and access across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD and Google Workspace.
• Supporting Windows server environments, cloud services and business applications.
• Managing laptops, mobile devices and tablets, including Intune and Jamf administration.
• Supporting networking equipment, connectivity, cloud telephony and multi‑site infrastructure.
