Job summary

Techtrace Partners is seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to own complex infrastructure across multiple sites in Nottinghamshire. You will troubleshoot Windows Server, AD, M365, and network services, lead projects, and coordinate with suppliers.

The role also involves coaching colleagues, hands‑on delivery, and scheduled out‑of‑hours maintenance with regular travel to client sites. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Senior infrastructure delivery across multiple sites.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, GPO, M365 and identity management.
• Proficiency in virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, DNS and DHCP.
• Scripting with PowerShell or equivalent.
• Technical leadership, mentoring and clear communication with operational teams.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Complex troubleshooting across Windows Server, virtualisation, storage, networking, identity, Microsoft 365 and endpoints.
• Patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation and hardening, with tested and documented changes.
• Backup, restore and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Infrastructure projects through implementation, migration, testing, cutover and handover.
• Technical documentation, recovery instructions and asset information.
• Coaching colleagues and verifying supplier fixes.
