Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Technical Lead to oversee design, technical direction and delivery of complex IT infrastructure solutions. The role focuses on solution architecture, governance and leadership across multiple engineering projects in manufacturing/engineering.

Based in Derby with hybrid WFH options, the position requires 3+ years as Technical Lead or Solution Architect and strong ITIL/PRINCE2/TOGAF knowledge, plus stakeholder engagement and scalable, secure designs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Technical Lead or Solution Architect.
• Strong stakeholder management and engagement at all levels.
• Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure technology and current trends.
• Experience delivering solutions in Manufacturing or Engineering environments desirable.
• Understanding ITIL, PRINCE2 and TOGAF frameworks.
• Strong consulting skills and ability to shape outcomes and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in transforming requirements into solutions and technical designs.
• Deliver strategic business, information and technology service architecture development in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Define and deliver the technical aspects of projects, including timely designs and documentation.
• Coordinate implementation and dependencies across multiple IT teams.
• Support development activities like shaping and designing solution architectures for proposals.
• Define and refine the delivery approach for optimal efficiency.

IT Technical Lead

Location - Derby/WFH

Salary - £55-65k

Our client is seeking an experienced and technically accomplished IT Technical Lead to oversee the design, technical direction, solution architecture and delivery of complex IT infrastructure solutions within the manufacturing and engineering sector.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the technical delivery of multiple engineering projects ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, secure and aligned with customer requirements, industry standards and best practices.

Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, customers and technology partners, you will take ownership of technical architecture, design governance and integration activities while providing leadership to the wider team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Architect or Senior IT Engineer looking to take a leading role in delivering advanced manufacturing technology solutions within a technically challenging and highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

Key skills

• Experience of delivering solutions in Manufacturing or Engineering environments desirable


• Understanding frameworks such as ITIL, PRINCE2, and TOGAF.
