Job summary

Vectis Recruitment is seeking an IT Site Manager for a leading manufacturer in the UK. You will provide frontline IT support, maintain IT infrastructure, and enable reliable technology for office and production teams.

The role covers hardware, software, networks, ERP systems and security. You will manage projects, document procedures, and work with external suppliers to ensure continuous business operations on site.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an IT professional in a fast-paced environment (manufacturing, distribution, engineering, etc).
Experience in managing IT projects from conception to completion.
Knowledge of ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-line IT support to office and production staff.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions and security.
Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
Monitor backups, antivirus and system performance to ensure business continuity.
Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and support requests.
Liaise with third-party suppliers and service providers when required.
Ensure IT systems comply with company security policies and best practices.
