Job summary

Nijhuis Saur Industries UK & Ireland is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to ensure availability and performance of our network, servers, and applications across the business.

You will design, install, secure, and maintain IT services, manage virtualization and cloud resources (Azure/AWS), and provide second-line support while aligning with GDPR and audit requirements.

Hybrid role with up to 10% travel; opportunity to work across regional sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Windows/Linux server administration, networking and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Hands-on with firewalls, unified communications, and endpoint security.
• Vocational IT degree or diploma; professional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and document technical specifications for new IT services.
• Install and connect hardware to the network and verify functionality.
• Provide second-line support and escalate to vendors when needed.
• Manage virtualization platforms and cloud resources (Azure/AWS).
• Implement security checks, backups, and regulatory compliance (GDPR).
• Participate in network expansion projects and procurement decisions.
• Guide users on new software implementations and best practices.
