Job summary

Nijhuis Saur Industries UK & Ireland is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to ensure the availability and performance of our network and related IT systems. You will maintain servers, networks, and applications while supporting end users and enforcing security and compliance standards.

In a hybrid role with up to 10% travel, you will design and install infrastructure, manage virtualization, cloud services, and IAM, and troubleshoot complex issues.

Qualifications

• A vocational IT degree or diploma or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency with IT software including Microsoft Office and ITSM tools.
• Experience in Windows/Linux server administration, networking, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Hands-on with firewalls, unified communications, and endpoint security.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation or Azure Associate are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan IT services; document operational tasks for IT service management.
• Install, connect and verify hardware; deploy system management software and backups.
• Provide second-line support and escalate to vendors when needed.
• Manage virtualization platforms, IAM and cloud-based services; monitor security.
• Develop and enforce network procedures; advise on hardware procurement and servicing.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and audit readiness with security documentation.
