Job summary

Suffolk New College in Ipswich is seeking a Senior IT Administrator (On-site) to maintain and support our enterprise IT systems. You will bring strong technical expertise in Windows Server and desktop environments, plus network and firewall administration, cyber security, and backup and recovery technologies.

Based primarily at the Ipswich campus, the post may require occasional travel to other sites. The post includes line management responsibilities and technical leadership within the IT

Qualifications

• Experienced IT Administrator with a demonstrable track record of managing and supporting a wide range of enterprise IT systems and services.
• Strong technical expertise in Windows Server and desktop environments, network and firewall administration, cyber security, and backup and recovery technologies.
• Responsible for managing a range of critical IT services, including telephony and print management.
• Line management responsibilities and providing technical leadership, mentoring and day-to-day supervision for designated team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor IT Services team members on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure IT devices comply with security policies and are protected against unauthorised software execution and tampering.
• Provide technical leadership and resolve complex IT issues across services.
