Cheshire and Wirral Partnership is recruiting a Band 6 Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (Commissioned Services) to support IPC and TB services across Cheshire West and Chester. The role involves outbreak prevention, surveillance, audits, education and quality improvement, with autonomous practice and leadership across boundaries.

The post is part-time, 22.5 hours per week, with a permanent contract and salary in the Agenda for Change band 6 range. Closing date 03 November 2026.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nursing qualification and active UK registration.
• IPC qualification or willingness to undertake within 6 months.
• Degree or currently working towards with completion within 2 years.
• Knowledge of TB or willingness to undertake additional training within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Support delivery of commissioned IPC and TB services across Cheshire West and Chester.
• Provide specialist infection prevention advice and support outbreak management.
• Deliver audits, education and training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with NHS bodies, local authorities and care providers to improve patient safety.

Formation

NMC Registered Nurse - RN, RM

IPC Qualification or willing to undertake within 6 months

Relevant degree or evidence of working towards with completion within 2 years

Tuberculosis knowledge or willing to undertake training within 6 months
