Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seeks an IPC Nurse Band 6 to plan and deliver the IPC and TB work programme in line with a defined service specification.

You will work with IPC and TB specialists and Trust colleagues to ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery. The role involves education, audits, governance, and contributing to patient safety improvements across the health system.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse with current registration.
• IPC qualification or willing to undertake within 6 months.
• Relevant degree or working towards with a completion date within 2 years.
• Knowledge of Tuberculosis or willingness to undertake training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver IPC and TB work programme per service specification.
• Collaborate with Trust staff and external providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Deliver education and training, undertake audits and support quality improvement.
• Analyse infection prevention data and provide assurance to commissioners.
• Act as a clinical role model to improve patient safety and IPC standards.
