Job summary

Tesco Technology is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to advance the Digital Design System (DDS) for iOS. You will build reusable UI foundations, ensure accessibility, and maintain robust component APIs used across Tesco's digital ecosystem.

Collaborate with design, product engineering, and DDS teams to keep experiences consistent and scalable. You will mentor teams, improve tooling and documentation, and drive high-quality, ship-ready code.

Qualifications

• Experience building iOS components with strong APIs and accessibility.
• Ability to document APIs and developer tooling for consumption by teams.
• Proven track record in mentoring and code reviews on platform-level code.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and evolve iOS DDS components with clear APIs and strong tests.
• Translate design intent and tokens into production-ready iOS implementations.
• Improve developer experience via docs, examples, onboarding, and tooling.
• Collaborate across design, accessibility, product engineering, and platform teams.
• Lead through senior engineering craft including code reviews and mentoring.
