Job summary

York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to work at Scarborough Hospital. The post involves daytime duties and on-call responsibility for a 10-bed ICU, with cross-site collaboration to support the broader Critical Care service.

Applicants should be on the GMC specialist register or within 6 months of completing training. The post emphasises leadership, teaching, audit and delivery of high-quality patient care within a modern ICU.

Qualifications

• GMC registration for medical practitioners.
• General Medical Council license to practise.
• GMC Specialist Register via CCT (within 6 months) or CESR.

Responsibilities

• Provide duties as Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Scarborough site.
• Contribute to daytime work and on-call rota for the 10-bed ICU.
• Collaborate with cross-site Critical Care teams across SGH and York.
• Implement and review job plans with Lead Clinician and Clinical Director.
