Job summary

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join the Scarborough Hospital team. The role involves daytime duties and on-call coverage for a 10-bed critical care unit, with collaboration across a cross-site Critical Care Consultant team.

Applicants should be on the Specialist Register for Intensive Care Medicine or be within 6 months of completing training.

Qualifications

• Hold a GMC-registered medical qualification.
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register via CCT or CESR within 6 months of interview.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine.
• Be part of 7 SGH consultants and 15 York-based consultants in a cross-site team.
• Manage daytime work and 10-bed on-call rota for critical care.
