Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join a 10-strong intensivist team in a recently refurbished 20-bed unit. The post includes on-call input at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and potential daytime work in anaesthesia or Medical Division depending on qualifications.

The successful candidate will deliver daytime work across the three sites and participate in education, governance, and service development, with ongoing

Qualifications

• Eligibility for Specialist Register in Intensive Care Medicine.
• Dual CCT in ICM with or without subspecialty interests; or ICM CCT only.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daytime work on all three trust sites with on-call ICU duties at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
• Participate in Consultant of the Week rota (1:8) and provide prospective cover.
• Lead assessments of deteriorating patients and manage theatre admissions pre/post operatively.
