Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Project Controls Engineer to join its Midlands-based team delivering major infrastructure programmes. You will support controls across schedule, cost, risk, change, and reporting, interfacing with delivery teams and partners to reflect delivery reality.

The role offers exposure to mega projects with room to grow into senior levels as you demonstrate expertise in PMO controls and performance reporting. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience working within programme or project controls environments on major or mega infrastructure programmes.
• Strong understanding of PMO operating models in infrastructure delivery.
• Ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate complex performance data clearly.
• Experience working in multi-partner and supply-chain environments.
• Aviation, transport, water or energy sector experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support integrated programme controls processes, ensuring alignment across schedule, cost, risk, change, and reporting.
• Contribute to PMO service delivery with high-quality controls outputs to programmes and stakeholders.
• Support change and trend management, including identification, impact assessment, governance, and reporting.
• Support risk management activities, including risk identification, qualitative and quantitative assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
• Develop and produce clear, accurate, and timely programme performance reports for project, programme, and executive audiences.
• Monitor programme performance, identifying trends, issues, and risks that may impact delivery objectives.
• Interface with programme partners and supply chain organisations to gather, validate, and integrate controls-related information.
• Work collaboratively with delivery teams, planners, commercial teams, and programme leadership to ensure controls data reflects delivery reality.
• Support governance, assurance activities, and continuous improvement of PMO controls practices.
