Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead integrated controls across major programmes in the UK. You will oversee planning, cost management, risk and change control, and governance to ensure delivery against cost and schedule targets.

You will lead cross-functional teams, implement robust reporting, and drive data-driven decision making. This role supports a hybrid working model in the Birmingham area with senior stakeholder exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent professional experience; certified (APM, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) or equivalent.
• Experience delivering project controls on major infrastructure, engineering or construction programmes.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost management, risk management and change control.
• Proven experience in a Project Controls Manager or Programme Controls role.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and UK construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls across multiple projects and programmes, developing high-performing teams.
• Drive consistency in project controls processes, tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate across planning, cost management, risk, change, reporting and commercial functions.
• Establish integrated schedules and governance frameworks; monitor progress and forecast accuracy.
• Oversee cost control, earned value management and forecast improvements.
• Present performance updates to clients and executive leadership.
