Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Director – Infrastructure Planning to lead major infrastructure planning and consenting work across the UK. The role focuses on DCOs, strategic planning and EIA advice, while nurturing client relationships and guiding project teams.

We value experienced professionals with MRTPI or equivalent background, capable of managing complex programmes and contributing to business growth in a multidisciplinary environment. Hybrid working is available across the UK & Ireland.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualification or equivalent with significant experience in major infrastructure planning, consenting or energy projects.
• Proven track record of leading and managing complex planning projects, including DCOs or other major infrastructure consenting regimes.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning and infrastructure consenting landscape.
• Experience mentoring, supporting or leading other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and consenting elements of major infrastructure projects, including DCOs and other relevant regimes.
• Providing strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Managing complex planning projects to programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Acting as a trusted adviser to clients and developing long-term client relationships.
• Leading project teams and collaborating with planning, EIA and other disciplines.
• Supporting business development, proposals and client presentations.
• Mentoring less experienced colleagues and keeping up to date with policy changes.
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.
