Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain IT Services seeks an experienced infrastructure support professional to diagnose and resolve incidents, support core systems, and manage on-site and remote infrastructure across campuses. You will handle third-line BAU work, deploy servers, monitor environments, and collaborate with third-party vendors, delivering reliable IT services for staff and students.

You will join a hands-on team, often on-site two days per week with occasional out-of-hours coverage,

Qualifications

• Requires IT certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with incident resolution and third-line support is essential.
• Ability to work across campus and remote sites with on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve incidents and requested work items.
• Support infrastructure systems defined in IT Service Catalogue.
• Carry out third-line BAU work and projects.
• Act as hands-on resource across campus and remote sites.
• Resolve first-contact inquiries or escalate per process.
• Deploy servers and packages with monitoring configurations.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers for software/hardware.
• Manage hardware/software inventory and deployment per policy.
• Ensure operational policies, configurations and tasks are followed.
• Configure, allocate and monitor printing estate.
• Keep documentation up to date including process maps and configuration records.
• Collaborate within the team to resolve incidents for students and staff.
