Your Tech Future - UK Tech Recruitment Specialists | B Corp Certified in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join the IT team on-site in Newton Abbot. This role blends day-to-day infrastructure support with improvement projects, offering exposure to Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, and Azure.

You’ll troubleshoot, secure, and optimize a business-critical environment within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Experience supporting a business-critical IT environment.
Strong infrastructure fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with on-premise, hosted and cloud (Azure) environments.
Ability to work hands-on and communicate effectively in a team.
Familiarity with PowerShell automation.

Responsibilities

Supporting and maintaining server, network and infrastructure environments.
Administering Windows Server and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online.
Supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V virtual environments.
Working with VLANs and VPNs.
Supporting infrastructure across on-premise, hosted and Azure environments.
Monitoring performance, availability and capacity and identifying potential issues before they become problems.
Managing patching and supporting infrastructure security.
Troubleshooting more complex infrastructure issues as a 2nd/3rd line escalation point.
Using PowerShell to improve and automate administration.
Working with third-party and hosting providers.
Testing and implementing infrastructure, hardware and software changes.
Contributing to infrastructure improvements and wider technical projects.
Keeping technical documentation up to date.
