Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Senior Imaging Information Systems Radiographer to support the PACS/RIS team and ensure reliable operation of Radiology IT systems across the Trust and wider Health Community. The role involves system upgrades, training, and data quality audits.

You will work with third party providers, supervise staff, and contribute to future Radiology IT projects, ensuring smooth workflow and secure access to imaging data.

Qualifications

• Experience with PACS/RIS and imaging IT systems.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours for system support when required.
• Strong troubleshooting and data quality auditing skills.
• Experience training staff on Radiology IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation of Imaging Information systems across Radiology (PACS, RIS, voice recognition, IEP) and interfaces with EPR.
• Liaise with third party service providers and UHDB sites to ensure systems are available.
• Provide supervision and guidance to support staff and training on Radiology IT systems.
• Assist in system upgrades, user acceptance testing, and future Radiology IT projects.
• Maintain workflows, including image transfer, anonymisation for research, and study imports to PACS.
