Job summary

The Shaw Education Trust is seeking an experienced ICT Technician to join a regional team, based at the Head Office with travel to a cluster of Staffordshire schools. You will provide essential IT support and customer service to our schools under the guidance of the Regional Head of Digital Services.

You will support central IT projects, migration work, and the ongoing expansion of Office 365 tools, while mentoring other IT Technicians and contributing to security and infrastructure upkeep.

Qualifications

• Experience as ICT technician providing IT support in schools.
• Ability to travel across a cluster of schools within the Stoke area.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support at schools when needed to cover capacity.
• Utilise IT Helpdesk to assist end users and manage workload.
• Update and create documentation for systems and processes.
• Monitor security logs, email quarantine, and backup logs; take action as required.
• Support infrastructure elements (servers, networking devices) to ensure availability and security.
• Assist with design, development and implementation of new IT systems under supervision.
• Support Office 365 tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) across Trust.
