Sandstone Trust seeks an ICT Technician to support the ICT Manager in delivering reliable, secure systems across multiple schools. You will assist teachers, diagnose faults, and maintain networks and peripherals to minimise downtime and ensure smooth classroom technology usage.

The role covers hardware, software, networks and user support, with opportunities for professional development and a meaningful impact on teaching and student experience.

Qualifications

• You will be a practical, organised and solutions-focused ICT professional with the technical knowledge and communication skills to support users confidently across a range of school environments.

Responsabilités

• Provide practical classroom support for teachers using computer systems across the Trust's schools.
• Investigate faults, diagnose problems and complete major repairs to equipment and cabling.
• Generate, extend and maintain computer networks, including installing software and keeping anti-virus and utility software up to date.
• Provide software support and produce clear, user-friendly guidance for staff and students.
• Maintain email, internet services and related activities, including school or Trust websites.
• Maintain, plan and upgrade the SIMS system, liaising with the SIMS help desk when required.
• Support after-hours use of computer rooms while protecting file servers from unauthorised access.
• Keep your professional knowledge current and respond positively to the changing needs of a multi-school Trust.
