Job summary

ABB LTD in the UK seeks a Lead ICSS Engineer to deliver Integrated Control & Safety System projects across energy and industrial sectors. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, own technical delivery from design to commissioning, and act as the technical authority on assigned projects.

This hybrid role based from St Neots/Warrington involves collaboration with customers, suppliers, and ABB centers, with emphasis on safety, cybersecurity, and quality, while aligning with schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (or HNC/HND with significant relevant experience) and ideally pursuing Chartered Engineer.
• Strong experience delivering ICSS, DCS, PCS, ESD, and Fire & Gas projects.
• Knowledge of Modbus, Profibus, Profinet.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing budgets/schedules.
• Strong safety, cybersecurity, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams of up to 10 engineers, mentoring and promoting best practices.
• Deliver ICSS engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle: design, configuration, testing, commissioning and close-out.
• Act as technical authority, reviewing deliverables and ensuring safety, cybersecurity, quality and contractual compliance.
• Work with Project Managers and customers to define technical solutions, manage risks and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Support planning with engineering estimates, resource plans, schedules and cost forecasts.
