ABB UK is seeking an experienced Lead ICSS Engineer to direct multidisciplinary teams in delivering Integrated Control & Safety System projects across energy and industrial sectors. You will lead design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and close-out activities, while ensuring safety, cybersecurity, and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Engineering (or HNC/HND) with significant relevant experience.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering ICSS, DCS, PCS, ESD, and Fire & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of industrial protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet.
• Experience with safety, cybersecurity, quality, and regulatory compliance in engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders while delivering on time and budget.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams of up to 10 engineers.
• Deliver ICSS engineering solutions across full project lifecycle: design, configuration, testing, commissioning, close-out.
• Act as technical authority, review/approve Deliverables and ensure safety, cybersecurity, quality, and contractual compliance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and customers to define technical solutions and manage risks.
• Support planning with engineering estimates, resource plans, schedules and cost forecasts.
• Provide technical leadership during installation, commissioning, start-up and site activities.
• Engage with customers, contractors, suppliers, and ABB centres for queries and change requests.
• Drive continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and standard processes.
