Job summary

ABB in the UK seeks a Senior Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership across complex projects in Power Generation, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Offshore. You will set technical direction, drive quality and regulatory compliance, and mentor teams.

You will build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders, manage risk, and ensure delivery on scope, schedule and budget while advancing ABB's engineering excellence and energy transition initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or HNC/HND with significant relevant experience.
Proven experience in regulated industries such as Power, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Nuclear or Offshore.
Experience leading engineering teams or as a technical specialist.

Responsibilities

Act as technical authority for assigned sectors, ensuring compliance with regs and ABB practices.
Lead, mentor and develop multi-disciplinary teams and promote technical excellence.
Define technical approaches, standards, milestones and resource plans across projects.
Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for safe, high-quality delivery.
Lead regulatory change assessments and implement compliant solutions.
Serve as senior escalation point for complex challenges.
Build relationships with customers, industry bodies and internal stakeholders.
Deliver projects to scope, schedule, budget and quality targets.
