Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in Warrington to lead design activities for power and control systems. You will create and review electrical designs, ensure compliance with specifications, and support project delivery with robust documentation.

You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve reliability and efficiency across projects, while maintaining high safety and cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical design for power and control systems.
• Experience with variable speed drives and motor technologies.
• Strong ability to translate concepts into engineering documentation and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver electrical engineering solutions for multiple projects.
• Prepare designs, calculations, and test documentation.
• Coordinate with functions to ensure design is manufactured, tested, installed and commissioned.
• Support FAT/SAT and resolve technical issues to meet performance requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement design improvements.
