Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is partnering with a UK utilities and energy services business to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager for Industrial & Commercial sectors. The role is UK-wide, home-based with client-site travel, and offers uncapped commission with an OTE of £100k+.

You will own the full sales cycle, win major I&C clients, and collaborate with marketing and technical teams to develop value-led proposals. Expect senior stakeholder engagement and board-level negotiations.

Qualifications

A proven senior new business hunter with a track record of hitting large targets.
TPI experience is essential; utilities background preferred.
Track record of winning contracts well above £500k annual revenue.
Confident engaging senior leaders and boards.
Strong understanding of energy procurement, utility cost management and metering.
Excellent communication, negotiation and proposal skills.
Experience across multiple sectors welcome; willing to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Win and lead large, complex I&C opportunities for Utility Management services.
Build and manage a strong pipeline with support from marketing and technical teams.
Lead the sales process from first conversation to contract award, including senior negotiations.
Develop consultative, value-led proposals with technical experts.
Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across various sectors.
