Job summary

IDCSL, a UK-based independent distribution network operator, is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager. The role is remote-based with regular UK travel to client meetings, site visits and industry events.

You will drive growth in the non-residential energy infrastructure market, from initial engagement through bids to contract, building long-term relationships with ICPs and end clients. Key responsibilities include origination, market development, bid management, and performance

Qualifications

• Experience in a business development, commercial or sales role within utilities, energy, infrastructure or a closely related sector.
• Demonstrated ability to originate new business opportunities and manage them through to agreement or contract.
• Experience preparing, managing and presenting commercial bids or proposals.

Responsibilities

• Identify, originate and qualify new business opportunities across target UK regions and non‑residential sectors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with ICPs, EV infrastructure providers, developers, consultants, storage and end clients.
• Manage project bids and proposals from initiation through to agreement, coordinating with internal teams.
