Job summary

SSEN Transmission in Scotland seeks a Lead Principal Engineer – HVDC P&C to shape engineering across major offshore transmission projects. You will provide technical leadership, drive standardisation, and align HVDC P&C strategies with SSEN standards, regulations and long-term operational needs.

Lead a team of specialist engineers, foster an inclusive culture, resolve complex design issues, promote health and safety, and collaborate with suppliers and technology partners to advance HVDC

Qualifications

HVDC P&C engineering knowledge and experience.
Engineering degree with Chartered status preferred.
Ability to lead complex initiatives and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for HVDC P&C engineering initiatives.
Drive standardisation and continuous improvement across offshore projects.
Lead and nurture a team of specialist engineers.
Promote health, safety and environmental excellence and compliance.
