Job summary

Arup in the UK seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide strategic leadership across major transmission projects, including substations, protection and SCADA, and interfaces with civil and construction teams. You will lead design, assurance and integration across bundles while mentoring engineers and engaging with National Grid and key stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Chartered Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in major transmission projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary electrical design teams.
• Experience with HV substation design, protection, SCADA, and OHL interfaces.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management at senior governance levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership across electrical engineering for UK Great Grid Partnership.
• Lead design, assurance, and integration of electrical deliverables.
• Mentor engineers and support onboarding across bundles.
• Represent engineering in governance reviews and client engagements.
