Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford is seeking a Senior Project Planner for HV Substations to own erection and commissioning schedules across the UK and Europe. You will coordinate between factories, regional project teams and sites, using Primavera P6 or MS Project to create integrated execution plans.

This senior role requires travel to sites and a strong ability to forecast risks and support project decisions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in project planning and schedule management within construction, commissioning, engineering or complex equipment projects.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Experience developing, maintaining and monitoring project schedules from planning through execution.
• Strong understanding of planning principles including work breakdown structures, critical-path analysis, schedule logic, dependencies and forecasting.
• Experience coordinating inputs across multiple teams, organisations and locations.
• A degree in engineering, project management or a related discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction, erection and commissioning schedules during ITO and project-execution phases.
• Build and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Ensure clear schedule logic, sequencing and linkages between functions, units, customers and contractors.
• Maintain alignment between detailed site schedules and the integrated master schedule.
• Visit project sites to assess readiness and validate progress.
• Provide forecasts and risk visibility to Project Managers and Site Managers.
• Collaborate with project partners across UK and Europe.
