Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Consultancy, contractor or utility experience in the energy sector.
• Experience with National Grid, ESB, EirGrid, SHET, SSE, SPT or UK/IE transmission utilities.
• Experience as FEED designer or owner’s engineer.
• HV infrastructure design at concept and FEED stages.
• Experience in detailed design and design assurance.
• Knowledge of AIS and GIS HV plant equipment.
• Excellent client-facing and teamwork skills.

Aufgaben

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Lead engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Develop optimum cable routes considering length, thermal conditions and land use.
• Draft equipment specifications for HV plant and related equipment.
• Develop specifications with specialists and external partners.
• Prepare tender specifications and evaluate tenders.
• Provide design assurance during tender and supplier meetings; review designs at construction, conduct audits, and support commissioning.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.
