Zusammenfassung

AECOM is seeking an experienced electrical engineering professional to join the HV Substation Design team. You will lead design delivery on high-profile energy infrastructure projects and contribute to an innovative portfolio spanning National Grid upgrades and hyperscale/data centre initiatives.

You will produce primary layouts, drive design input across major projects, and oversee pre-construction activities including cable route optimization and equipment specifications.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience with consultancy, contractor or utility in the energy sector is expected.
• Experience as FEED designer, detailed design or owner’s engineer is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Lead engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake Project Development/Pre-construction activities including optimum cable routes.
• Prepare equipment specifications for HV Plant and related equipment.
• Develop specifications with specialist partners and external firms.
• Draft tender specifications and evaluate tenders.
• Provide design assurance of tender documents and supplier meetings.
• Review supplier designs at construction phase and support commissioning.
