AECOM in the UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead HV substation design projects from concept through energisation. You will work across a varied portfolio with utilities, hyperscalers and data centre operators, delivering primary plant layouts and equipment specifications.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, proven HV project experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant HV design experience.
• Experience developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and with diverse teams.
• Fluency in English and strong technical report writing skills.
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Produce equipment specifications for HV plant and associated equipment.
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake an Owners’ Engineer role on HV substation/cable and OHL projects.
• Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects (battery storage, solar, hydro, wind).
• Provide professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseas.
