Shropdoc seeks a Senior People and Development Officer to support and advise managers on HR policies and employment law. You will handle complex employee relations cases, lead formal change consultations, and design and deliver manager training.

The role focuses on practical HR guidance, workforce planning, and supporting wellbeing and succession planning within a collaborative People team. DBS clearance is required and CIPD Level 5 is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK employment law and best practice for people management.
• Experience designing and delivering HR training and development for managers or staff.
• Evidence of continuing professional development in HR, employment practice or learning and development.

Responsabilités

• Manage a varied employee relations caseload including disciplinary, grievance, absence and capability.
• Be the first point of contact for HR queries on employee relations matters.
• Advise managers on policies and employment law; lead change consultations with managers.
• Design and deliver HR training and guidance for managers and staff, both face-to-face and virtually.
• Coach managers in difficult conversations, performance management and staff development.
