Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys being the person managers turn to when they need practical, straightforward advice? We are recruiting for a People & Organisational Development Officer to join a busy organisation where you will play an important role in supporting managers, colleagues and the wider employee experience. This is a true generalist HR role. A key part of the role will be managing and supporting formal and informal ER cases, including sickness absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance matters, taking cases through to hearing stages where required. We are looking for someone with solid generalist HR experience and a genuine strength in Employee Relations. A Level 5 CIPD qualification would be ideal, although candidates who can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge and experience will absolutely be considered. You will need to be confident dealing with managers, comfortable working autonomously and able to give clear, sensible advice when faced with complex or sensitive people matters. Strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage cases through to completion are essential. Experience of working with HR systems and analysing people data is also important. Experience within a contact centre, call centre or shift-based environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
If you are an experienced HR generalist who enjoys Employee Relations, supporting managers and being the person people can rely on for practical HR advice, this could be an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.
