Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an HR Business Partner for its Kier Natural Resources team based in Somerset. Hybrid working with travel to sites and offices 3-4 days a week.

The role focuses on partnering with senior leaders to align workforce and people strategies with project delivery needs. Ideal candidates will have degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, strong employee relations and engagement skills, and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or qualified by experience) with demonstrable experience of business partnering in medium or large organisations.
• Well-developed employee engagement and employee relations skills, with experience in change management.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and a strong commercial awareness.
• Delivery focused and pragmatic, able to flex solutions to meet diverse business needs.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with operational and functional leaders as a credible advisor, developing people solutions to help deliver business strategy.
• Coordinating and managing employee relations and industrial relations activity, maintaining positive working relationships.
• Using data, metrics and evidence to inform change, drive decision making and resolve complex problems.
• Working collaboratively with resourcing partners and managers to develop hiring strategies and drive continuous improvements.
• Supporting emerging talent career programmes and championing equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the business.
