Job summary

Somerset Passenger Solutions is seeking a Head of People to oversee HR, employee relations, policy development and engagement across the project workforce. You will drive a diverse, inclusive and high-performing culture while partnering with the People Director on strategic initiatives.

You’ll lead training, GDPR compliance, payroll queries handling and performance processes, with a flexible 24/7 business mindset and strong relationship-building across divisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive generalist HR experience across multiple functions.
• Experience with employee relations, development and engagement.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR policies.

Responsibilities

• Own ER and absence management with timely advice.
• Lead HR function in line with business needs and project.
• Develop training needs with management teams and refresh plans.
• Ensure GDPR processes are robust within the People team.
• Manage Mental Health resources and wellbeing checks.
• Support People Director to deliver the People Strategy.
