Job summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Senior HR Assistant to join its HR team on a part-time basis (18.5 hours per week). The role supports delivery of strategic HR programmes and works closely with the HR Project Support Officer.

Key duties include advising managers and staff, supporting HR initiatives, maintaining HR records, and contributing to improvement projects across the organisation. Hybrid working is offered.

Job details

Permanent, part time, 18.5 hours per week.

We are looking for a Senior HR Assistant to join our HR team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic HR programmes across the organisation.

Working closely with the HR Project Support Officer you will;

  • Act as a key point of contact for enquiries, providing advice and guidance to managers, employees and external stakeholders.
  • Support a range of HR initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR systems and records.
  • Contribute to projects that improve services for employees across the organisation.

We are looking for someone;

  • Who can demonstrate strong administrative and data management skills
  • Has excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Is a confident user of Microsoft 365 applications and a range of IT systems
  • Has the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing demands.

This is a part-time role with flexibility to agree the working days and pattern.
