Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our Manchester team on a hybrid basis. You will lead complex employee relations, strengthen manager capability and use people insights to improve the employee experience across our Merchant organisation.

You’ll work with the UKI People team, manage a varied caseload, provide practical advice balancing employee experience with commercial needs, and coach managers on policies, UK employment law, and people processes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing complex end-to-end employee relations cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law with strong advisory and coaching capability.
• Excellent judgement and ability to navigate sensitive situations with limited direction.
• Analytical mindset using case data and people trends to drive proactive HR solutions.
• Strong organisational skills, meticulous documentation and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and complex end-to-end caseload across performance, probation, absence, grievances and disciplinaries.
• Provide clear, practical advice balancing employee experience, commercial needs, employment law and risk.
• Build trusted relationships with managers and help address concerns early while ensuring fair outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation across competing priorities.
• Coach managers on HR policies, UK employment legislation and effective people management.
• Partner with leaders to support performance calibrations, engagement and organisational change.
• Use data and insights to inform leadership discussions and drive practical decisions.
