Senior HR Advisor - Legal & Professional Services
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Advisor to join a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm in Tunbridge Wells. This is a pivotal role supporting Apprenticeships, Trainees, Paralegals, Legal Support, and Business Services staff across the full employee lifecycle. You'll be part of a collaborative and friendly HR team, delivering bespoke, business-aligned HR services. From recruitment to onboarding, policy compliance to performance management, you'll play a vital role in shaping our people strategy and fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Management
* Manage recruitment, onboarding, contractual terms, and exits across multiple staff categories.
* Provide advice on performance, employee relations, and development.
* Ensure compliance with employment law, regulations, and internal policies.
Graduate & Apprenticeship Programmes
* Lead Trainee Solicitor recruitment and onboarding.
* Support and monitor Apprenticeship schemes to ensure meaningful development.
* Develop and manage graduate placements and A-level work experience initiatives.
Employer Branding & Careers Engagement
* Represent the firm at careers events and build relationships with universities and schools.
* Promote the firm's employer brand across digital channels and social media.
Learning & Development
* Support L&D activities aligned with staff development and progression frameworks.
Collaboration & Compliance
* Work closely with HR colleagues on cross-departmental projects and firm-wide initiatives.
* Ensure all HR activity complies with internal policies and legal frameworks.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong HR experience in a professional services environment (legal sector experience highly desirable).
* CIPD qualified (or equivalent).
* Exceptional organisation and project management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Strong analytical, commercial, and IT skills (OpenHR experience a bonus).
Qualifications
* Minimum A-level education required; a degree is preferred.
* CIPD qualification or working towards it.
